Soyinka, “Not if it continues this fashion. Not if it fails to decentralise. Some folks use the phrase restructure, some folks use the phrase…no matter. Not if it fails to decentralise.

“If Nigeria fails to decentralise, and I imply decentralise as quick as potential, manifestly not rhetoric, then Nigeria can not keep collectively.”

“Once more this isn’t Wole Soyinka saying this. Generals have stated it; everyone has stated it; ex-heads of state have stated it; analysts have stated; economists have stated it and that’s what is going on to the folks on the streets; that’s why they’re transferring; that’s why they’re demonstrating; that’s why they’re defying even threats from the police; from the federal government ‘if you happen to reveal, you’re traitors, we’ll cope with you…we’ll communicate to you in language which you’ll perceive.”
